NETUNO partnered with The Global Ghost Gear Initiative (GGGI), a NGO that addresses “ghost gear” problems which refers to any fishing gear that has been abandoned, lost or otherwise discarded. Examples include nets, line, rope, traps, etc.
We are currently in the first step of the Ghost Gear Management and Mitigation Framework.
